What's new

Check out the blog of Wendy and I at http://thenewadventuresofsteveandwendy.blogspot.com/ .

As a side note, sadly Cox abruptly discontinued my personal web page, and deleted all my files! A sad way to treat your customers eh.

Hope you have a good day!

Will the real Fred and Ginger please stand up.

By the way, The Standard landed us side by side with the real Fred and Ginger. Now that's an honor!

Republications

The Week Magazine, Feb 24, 2006

The Standard Sunday Feb 25, 2006. China's "Newspaper of the Year"

The Journal Gazette
Fort Wayne, Indiana Sunday Sun, Feb 19, 2006. You gotta wonder why The Journal Gazette bothered publishing a personal interest story if their intent was to spin it into something so superficial. Notice they eliminated all references to Steve's spiritual relationship.

FG writes:
"There were only 2 well-thumbed-through copies at the B&N where i got this one.... 2 full pages, with the magazine cover photo and another photo of us i hadn't seen yet from one of the 8WW practices at VA Ballroom. they took some parts of the story verbatim, summarized other parts to shorten it."

Packed house.

Saturday was (as far as I know) the biggest crowd ever. Over 800 people. It was a sell-out, and the dance floor was packed. My darn batteries ran out, so no pictures. :( ... Jive Aces were as fun as ever!!

FG's bon-voyage jam.

Last minute pre-bon-voyage, Monday night was her second last night!

BTW, FG loves to dance balboa. One of the best balboa dancers around. (Note to Atlanta leads: Don't let her get rusty!)

A friend of Steve's sister writes...

I can’t put into words how deeply this story touched me. Steve is simply remarkable. The story reached the core of my soul. You know, Lori, I have three prominent emotions that mirror those expressed in your brother’s story. First, my faith and love for God, second my love for dance, and third my romantic adoration for the people we meet in life that open their hearts and minds to love us and share themselves with us for all we are.

These are special, precious people. Steve and F.G. are both these kind of people.

You know, one of these days I’d like to meet your mother. She should be so proud of her parenting to grow such wonderful children. I feel like I know two of them now.

Thanks for sharing!

Double Wow - Feedback

From Sue Caley:

Wow, double wow! We just got our copy of the magazine and the picture is not only beautiful but the article is too! It really captures the essence of swing dance and it's community through you guys. Thanks for being willing to share....

... I have a feeling Steve is going to be very busy fielding dances now. The girls will be lined up to dance with him after this article. ....Every woman wants to be "Ginger"! I understand the front cover photo now, it's perfect!
